An 8 days walking tour crossing a enchanting island

This walking tour starts in Trapani, a city rich in history and culture. You will then reach the Egadi Islands and Marettimo, the most mountainous of the three islands, directly on the west coast and a real paradise for hikers. Back inland, visit the medieval town of Erice, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the salt pans and the islands. At the end you hike to one of the most beautiful lake reserves in Italy, the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro, with bays and wonderful panoramas, then Monaco mountain hikes.

Day 1

Arrival in Trapani where you will have a transfer to your first hotel. Time to explore this enchanting city full of history and monuments.

Overnight in town.

Walking time: 4.5 hours; Difference in altitude + 450m -450m

Day 4

Today you can go on an excursion that leads through a Roman fortress and a small Byzantine church and then reaches a point with a beautiful view. Those wishing to explore the island further can do a small boat tour with a local fisherman around the island to see the inaccessible coasts.

Walking time: 6 hours; Difference in altitude + 689m - 689m

Day 5

Marettimo - Erice - San Vito Lo Capo

In the morning departure to Trapani, a transfer will pick you up to the port and take you to the medieval town of Erice, where you will visit the church and stroll through the narrow streets; the small town is famous for its pastries and unforgettable almond cakes.
Continue to San Vito Lo Capo. Overnight stay.

Day 6

Zingaro Natural Reserve

Your excursion begins at the northern end of the Zingaro nature reserve, where there are beautiful and impressive walks along the paths with Mediterranean spots and charming groves. After many bays and wonderful views, you have the opportunity to take a bath. Your hike continues to admire the colors of the sea and discover enchanting views of the Gulf of Castellamare. Overnight in San Vito Lo Capo.

Walking time: 6 hours; Difference in altitude + 500m - 500m

Day 7

Monte Monaco
