All these features makes it a region full of charm with a green and romantic landscape in which reins a perfect balance between man and nature. The proposed route crosses Lower Austria. You are cycling among hills and vineyards, almost entirely along the cycle paths lining the banks of the Danube. Just following the rhythm of the river passing the abbey Engelszell, the charming Schlögen bend and visiting the towns of Linz and Enns. Then you enter the paradise of the Wachau region, harmonious and sweet, full of precious vineyards. Here you visit towns like Spitz, Durnstein and the beautiful city of Krems, which was always an important trade centre and retained its cosmopolitan charm linked to legends and centuries of historical events, from the Nibelung Mythology to Richard the Lion Heart.
